I remember an old animation which showed a mosquito sucking the blood out of a man’s body and exploding because it was overfull. Unfortunately the cartoonist made the mosquito male.
I did A Slylock Fox puzzle some time ago that involved Count Weirdly creating giant genetically modified mosquitos to attack and suck blood from forest citizens. Fortunately for the intended victims, the count was sending out giant male (non-bloodsucking) mosquitoes.
